The R-400 has been firmly established in government and private security printing companies when it comes to the later numbering and coding of small and medium-sized series of high-security products, such as passports, bank notes and similar documents. Combined with the numbering heads of the SU series, it is possible to imprint numberings using standard and special engravings, as well as barcodes. Manually-adjustable and automatic-counting numbering machines are used as print carriers. Depending on the print head, printing inks and carbon ribbons with additional security features such as UV fluorescence or indelible ink penetration can be used in addition to standard printing inks and ribbons. The product to be numbered is simply placed by hand, then printing is triggered using a hand or foot switch. For optimal printing results, the pressure and the intensity of the inking can be controlled directly by potentiometers. Adjustable guides ensure consistent positioning of the products being numbered. Numbering and imprinting heads of the series SU In combination with the numbering heads of the SU series, numberings in Gothic, CMC 7, E 13B and OCR as well as barcode, signatures and logos can be printed. ● SU1 Whenever simple numbering is required, the SU1 numbering head, proven thousands of times in use, can demonstrate its performance. With the extremely low printing costs, it is unrivalled in its field of application. Oil-based stamping inks are used for printing on absorbent materials made from paper. Used in combination with steel rotary numbering machines, the controllable pressure setting of the SU printing heads provides easy crash numbering of NCR form sets. ● SU2 With the sophisticated letterpress inking unit, the Radus SU2 numbering head is an impressive direct development of the tried-and-tested SU1. Two inking rollers, in combination with two oscillating distributing rollers, allow the use of viscous letterpress inks and inks with security features, such as UV fluorescence or indelible ink penetration, which make the SU2 unique in this profession. The letterpress inking unit allows the imprinting of high-quality Gothic and OCR numbering, as well as barcodes, in all types of document. In addition, when using security printing inks, the SU2 is ideal for numbering passports and visa documents, and for later numbering of bank notes. Rotary barcode and numbering machines made from steel are used as printing carriers; combinations of numbering machines and texts are also possible, in addition to standard and special engravings. ● SU4 The SU4 numbering head was developed for numbering and coding using special carbon ribbons. The ink on a carrier film is transferred cold, directly to the paper, using pressure from the numbering unit. An adjustable transport mechanism then advances the film precise. The numbering head processes carbon ribbons for OCR and MICR numbering, as well as carbon ribbons with additional security features, such as UV fluorescence yellow / green and indelible red ink penetration - bleed through. Replacing the rotary numbering machine with magnetic print blocks enables the imprinting of signatures and logos. The numbering head can also be supplied in a pneumatic version with a heating unit to be used with hot-stamping foils.
