The Radus SV-360 PC offers the efficient application of embedded DOVIDs (Holograms / Kinegrams) onto polycarbonate sheets for passport data pages, driving licenses and ID documents in high volumes. Due to its modular construction, the machine covers the complete range of polycarbonate layouts from e.g. 2x2 to 4x5 for passport data pages, up to common layouts for embedded DOVIDs on ID cards and DL cards with 3x8 and 8x6 (ID-1). The system processes typical polycarbonate overlay films of common manufacturers from 50 to 150 micron and enables an output at an average of 1250 sheets / h for 3x8 (24 images) and 1000 sheets / h for 8x6 (48 images). Counter-rotating product layouts for passport holderpages can be easy processed in one production run by turned hologram feed direction of individual embossing stations. The sophisticated foil separation technology in combination the electrostatic discharge devices ensure a clean result and sharp hologram edges. HP3 hot stamping hologram applicator The well-proven hologram application head HP3 is especially suitable for applying embedded DOVID patches on polycarbonate overlay sheets up to secure Level 3 in a stamping size of max. ø40 mm. The heads work electronically / pneumatically and are monitored by the machine's process control. The HP3 unit contains the hot stamping press with the replaceable stamping die and the associated fine adjustment as well as the foil feed. In this way, the complete hologram application head can be moved across the sheet direction of run in a quick adjustment for positioning. There is no complex conversion of the stamping die or tracking of the foil; jobs can be set-up in shortest time. Print mark recognition with unique „on the fly“ image positioning A multistage tension control in the hologram hot foil track and an accurate guidance guarantee precise hologram feed. After registration mark detection „on the fly“, direct at the hot stamping die, the foil with the holographic image is positioned using electronics only (Resolution 0.01mm); there is no need for the time consuming manual fine adjustment of the photocells for image positioning. The image position of the hot foil hologram under the stamping die can be easily adjusted via the touch display - even during ongoing stamping operation. Options If necessary, further work stations can be retrofitted at any time. Here too, one or two HP3 hot stamping hologram heads can be used. Then, with up to eight hologram application heads, even smaller product sizes at individual sheets (8x6) such as ID Cards and DL Cards can be processed with up to eight lines across the sheet.
